Superstructures was sub-consulted to perform the structural design of some 20,000m2 of suspended slab systems for the departures lounge, the departures elevated roadway and office blocks of the R7 billion development.

Kazerne Intermodal Facility is situated in Johannesburg and has the following 4 main functions:
- Minibus taxi facilities including ranking + holding
- Cross-border / long distance bus facilities
- Retail (formal and informal)
- Storage space (for traders + luggage)
The total floor area of the R400-million facility covers some 45,000m2 and contains challenging long span post-tensioned slab systems to allow for bus movement.
The building is architecturally finished with a curved shaped structural steel roof supported on V-shaped columns.
